William N. Vance Jr. ,54 of Conyers, Georgia and former native of Asheville, departed this life Friday, November 15, 2024.

William was born in Asheville NC, the son of the late William N. Vance, and Betty G. Vance -Littlejohn. He was preceded in death by son, TyQuan Jonte’ (TJ) Baird.

He was a graduate of Asheville High School and employed in Hospitality/Food Services.

William affectionately known as “Junior “was known for his infectious smile and comedic relief. He loved to make his family and friends laugh. A hard worker and good with his hands, he held many jobs. He was a peace maker with a huge heart. He was a lover of genre of music and his hobbies included dancing and playing the drums. Most importantly, he dedicated his life to the Lord. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory; brothers- Amos Andrew Gary, Dameion Gary of Georgia, Emmanuel Lamont Gary of Charlotte, sisters- Angela Vance Love (Gabriel), Lavinia Vance, and Rovella "Tiny" G. Moore all of Asheville, special friend, Laurie and a host of nephews and nieces.

A Funeral Service to honor the life of Mr. William N. Vance, Jr. will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Sycamore Temple Church of God in Christ (376 Hendersonville Road, Asheville NC) at 12pm.
