William Terry Mills

William Terry Mills of Asheville transitioned to Heaven on Friday, January 2, 2026. He was born on January 23, 1962, in Asheville. He was the son of Rudolph Mills and Cathleen (Carol) Allen Mills.

Terry attended Asheville City Schools and was a graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School. After graduation, he began his career at Sara Lee and Asheville Dyeing & Finishing. Throughout the years, he held multiple jobs. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.

Left to cherish his wonderful memories are his special friend of 20 years Neecie Thomas, his sister and brother Vickie Hemphill and Gary Mills, nieces Jessica Johnson (Dr. Randall Johnson) and Porchea Mills (Devon Mills), nephew Corie Hazel (Brooke Hazel), a host of loving great-nieces and great-nephews, and uncles Charles Allen (Ann) and Thomas Allen (Robbie).

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Terry will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church (11 Pine Grove Ave.), at 1pm.
