Waddell H. Burgin Jr., passed away on January 23, 2021. He was born on Sept 21, 1971 to Waddell H. Burgin, Sr. and Shirley O. Hines of Asheville NC. Waddell was a native of Asheville NC, but has resided in Oceanside CA since 1987.
He graduated from Oceanside High School in 1992. Working on many jobs, his favorite was the Staff NCO Club at Camp Pendleton. His hobbies included fishing, listening to music, skateboarding, and building bikes. It has been said, he was quite the inventor!
His memory will forever live on in our hearts. Waddell leaves behind 2 sons, Furious Knowledge Adrede and Mister Xevier Obeso, 3 surviving brothers, Bertram L. Burgin of Atlanta GA, D'Armon J. Burgin of Asheville NC and D'Angelo P. Burgin of Sacramento CA., a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and one of many special friends, Angie and Joy of Oceanside CA. He was loved and respected by many. His bright intellect, quick wit, creativity and especially his one of a kind sense of humor made many people from all walks of life gravitate to him. On almost any given day, he could be found somewhere on or near the beach fishing and spreading joy. He will be missed by all who knew him.
There will be a memorial held in his honor at Lake Tomahawk in Black Mountain on Sat. March 27th at 2:00pm, All are invited.
