Thomas Cordara Campbell passed away unexpectedly on 12/22/2022.
He was born on November 5, 1986, in Asheville, NC to Thomas R. Campbell (deceased) and Martha P. Campbell.
Cordara graduated from Buncombe Community School in 2006, he also attended Asheville High School.
Cordara was an awesome father and uncle. He would help all of the kids with whatever they needed. Cordara was their biggest gaming companion.
He loved working on computers and helping his family learn to be able to use a computer properly.
Though he endured many challenges, he had the biggest heart and a great big smile to match.
Cordara would always be a helping hand for whatever his family and friends would need for him to do. He would assist without any complaints.
Cordara loved football. His number one team was the Eagles.
Cordara once was an active member of Varick Chapel AME Zion Church from an early age. He strayed from this faith but recently returned to the guidance of our Lord and Christ Savior.
Cordara is also survived by his daughter, Cordasia K. Campbell. Other survivors include: his brother, Brian D. Campbell; his sister, Ramesha O. Perry; his aunts, Anita P. Askew (Ronnie), Onas W. Brown, and Linda Smith; his uncles, James A. Hill, Couthran E. Hill, Jonah H. Perry III (Anna), Carl M. Jackson (Dean), and Brian K. Perry.
Cordara was welcomed into the loving arms of his grandparents; Milwee R. Perry (deceased), Jonah H. Perry II (deceased), his uncles Curtis D. Perry, (deceased) and David T. Perry (deceased)
Cordara “Cord the Gorilla” will be greatly missed by everyone that came into contact with him. We love you, Cordara.
A funeral service to honor his life will be held Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Varick Chapel AME Zion Church (308 S French Broad Ave Asheville, NC 28801) at 1:00PM. He will lie in state from 12pm till the beginning of the service. Burial will be held immediately after the funeral at Sunset Cemetary (Sweeten Creek Rd. Asheville NC).
