Shelley Diane Williams

Ms. Shelley Diane Williams, the daughter of the late Elouise B. Williams and the late Robert R. Williams, was born on August 18, 1950, in Asheville, NC. She departed her life on August 14, 2024, just 4 days shy of her 74th birthday at mission hospital while surrounded by her family.

Shelley was a faithful member of Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church where she was baptized and welcomed with love. She attended Stephens - Lee High School and graduated in 1968. Shelley worked with United Way and Quality Janitorial Services where she worked for many years. She was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and loved the singer, Bruno Mars.

Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers Calvin Williams and Robert Williams, Jr., sister Louise Williams, niece Keysa Price, and granddaughter Mercedes Woods.

Shelley leaves to cherish her memory daughters Dori Williams Pace (Rodney), Mary Crystal Williams, and Roberta Williams, brothers James Arthur and Charles Williams, sister Patricia Williams, grandchildren Trumaine, Jermaine (Tameika), Ashlee, Sherelle, Brittany, Brandon, Kelton, and Correy, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. Shelley will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Shelley will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church (100 Carroll Ave.), at 2pm. The Memorial Service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
