RONALD JONATHAN aka “CAPONE” JOHNSON, Age 45

Sunrise April 26, 1975 and Sunset February 2, 2021

Was a tatted prophet, a rapper, a lyricist and entrepreneur. Stage alias: Rawn Capone and Rawn Rico. He attended Asheville City Schools and was a member of the Asheville High School Class of 1993.

Ronald was born April 26, 1975 in Asheville, N.C. to Retired SSgt Ronald M. Johnson, of Barstow, California and Prophetess Carmela F. Johnson of Charlotte, N.C. He was born on his Maternal Great- Great Grandmother Uneylee Peden Johnson’s birthday. And made the 5th generation “Johnson”. He had been living in Barstow, California for the last 13 years. Where he succumbed to his battle with Lupus.

Ronald had a love and creativity for music, rap and dance. He started rapping at the age of 11. And dancing at the age of 5. Where he could emulate the late Michael Jackson to the “T”. And taught dance at the age of 9 at a Dance Studio while living in St Louis, Mo. He was an entrepreneur and was known for creating “Mouth Grills” for many from the East Coast to the West Coast.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal Great- Great Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Julius Johnson, Maternal Great Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Fransco Johnson. Maternal Great-Grandmother Mrs. Beulah Moore Young. Paternal Grandmother Mrs. Alleen Free Johnson. Maternal Grandfather Mr. Leroy Wilson and Paternal Grandfather Mr. Emmett Johnson.

He is survived by his dad, Retired SSgt. Ronald M. Johnson Barstow, California, his mother Prophetess Carmela F. Johnson, Charlotte, N.C. His stepdad Mr. Alden Roland, Raleigh, N.C. His Maternal Grandmother Mrs. Barbara Y. Johnson, Asheville, N.C.

A son, Tyrece A. Johnson, of Atlanta, GA., daughters Taija A. Johnson of Atlanta, GA. and Ke’Ari Johnson, Temple, TX., one Granddaughter Nailani Amaya Johnson of Atlanta, GA.

His brothers Alden Maurice Johnson (Tiquana), Charlotte, NC, Al Durham, Asheville, N.C. Sisters Jva M. Roland, and Tracey Shaw both of Charlotte, N.C., Stacey Shaw, Asheville, N.C., April Johnson, Tiffany Johnson and Kara Johnson all of Barstow, California and Joy Williams, of Brooklyn, NY.

His extended BGP Brotherhood since childhood. Gene Ettison, Asheville, NC, Damion “DaDa” Bailey, Charlotte, N.C. Miya Bailey and Demayne Ginyard, both of Atlanta, Ga. and Keith Battle  of Charlotte, N.C.

There will be a public tribute and memorial celebrating the life and legacy of Our Beloved at a later date due to Covid-19 guidelines.  Per the request of Ronald Jonathan Johnson his family is honoring his wishes to be cremated.
