Ronald Blair Obituary

Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Lee Blair was affectionately known as "Jug" by his friends and "PaPa" by his family. He was a native of Asheville, NC. He was the firstborn of six children to Mrs. Ida Lou Blair.

Ronnie exemplified strength, kindness and an unyielding sense of responsibility. Traits that would shape him into the beloved man many came to know. He was educated in the Asheville City School System where he developed a deep sense of discipline and determination. Upon completing his studies, he entered the workforce, dedicating himself to a life of hard work and service. Whether he was cleaning churches, working transportation, or assisting in any other community role, he approached every task with excellence and a smile. His work ethic and dedication to others became the foundation for a lifetime of respect and admiration in the community. Though his contributions were countless, Ronnie's greatest joy came from his family and his love for music. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he often spoke of how blessed he was to spend time with them. Whether it was attending family gatherings, celebrating milestones, or simply being in the presence of those he loved, he was known for his warmth, laughter and endless love. Ronnie was a man who cherished his role as a devoted son, husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend. As the firstborn in his family, he set an example of love, leadership, and sacrifice, always caring for those around him. His heart was especially full when surrounded by his family. His nurturing spirit and infectious smile will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Johnnie Mae Blair, his two beloved brothers Alfred Blair (Edith) and Wendell Blair (Patricia).

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother Mrs. Ida Lou Blair, daughters Sandy Carr, Crystal Blair, Rhonda Blair, Sharon Blair, LaFondra Whiteside, Tecina Blair, and Shanice Blair, sons Floyd Blair, Timothy Blair, and Cameron Blair, sister Gladys Blair, brothers Thomas Blair (Patricia), and Lonnie Blair (Denise), 29 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
