Robert Larry (Bobby) Stepp

October 15, 1941- January 24, 2023

On January 24, 2023, Robert (Bobby) Stepp went to be with the Lord. Robert was born in Asheville, NC on October 15, 1941. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Elizabeth Stepp, mother Majorie Stepp, sister JoAnna Burris and two uncles William and Johnny Stepp. He attended Stephens Lee High School.

Robert served as a member at the United States Army October 8, 1960- May 22, 1962 and received an honorable discharge. He retired from NC Department of Transportation after many years of service. Robert loved fishing and cruising.

He is survived by his sisters Sylvia Carpenter, Christine Stepp, Ann Stamey, Addie Hall (Ron), Mary Burris and a host of nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and his Cupcake.

A funeral service to celebrate Mr. Robert Stepp will be held at Mills Chapel, 328 Craigmont Rd. Black Mountain, NC 28711, on Monday January 30, 2023, at 12PM. He will lie in state from 11 AM until the beginning of service. Interment will be held immediately after service at the Veterans Cemetery, 926 Old U.S Hwy 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
