Robert Daniel Robinson

Robert Daniel Robinson affectionately known as Bert, Rob, and Topaz by family and friends was born to Parthenia E. Robinson and Michael Darity on November 15, 1977 in Asheville NC.  Robert was raised by his grandparents, R.D. and Minnie Robinson. Robert entered into his eternal rest and into the arms of Jesus, RD and Minnie on October 6, 2018.

Robert received Christ at a young age at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and was known as the “Bible Scholar”.  He was active in church activities as a junior usher and choir member. As a youth, Robert played football, basketball and baseball. Robert enjoyed music through singing, writing songs and participating in talent shows.  Robert attended Asheville City Schools.  

Robert was one of the most optimistic, positive and lovable persons anyone had the pleasure of knowing.   He was always smiling and laughing and was loved by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him. Robert brought much joy to R.D and Minnie during the time he spent in their lives.

Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, R.D. and Minnie Robinson and Jack and Christine Darity. 

Robert leaves to cherish his wonderful memories three loving children Imani, Maddix and Robert Kenzo, his mother Parthenia Robinson, father Michael Darity, sisters Ebonee Bozeman and Tanesha Allen, brother, Michael Gardner, K-9 son Peanut, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

The family of Robert Robinson would like to give a special thanks to Meisha Cannady who has remained loyal to his Mother through this journey.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 11th at 2pm, at the Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church, at 100 Carroll Ave., Asheville, NC.
