Robert Leroy "Boo Boo" Pilgrim

Mr. Robert Leroy Pilgrim of Asheville left his earthly home on Wednesday March 30, 2023. He was the son of the late Robert Leroy Pilgrim and the late Lena Elizabeth Pilgrim.

Robert affectionately known as “Boo Boo” was a hard-working brother at Laurel Nursing Home, and was very much loved and respected by all till he retired in 2022. He loved music, playing his guitar, and his favorite song was “Purple Rain” by Prince.

He was preceded in death by sisters Althea Goode and Linda Pilgrim, and brother Steven Pilgrim.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Kecia Ray Pilgrim, brothers Eugene Kelly of Louisville, KY, Anthony Pilgrim (Selma) of Mount Pokeno, PA, Robert Pilgrim, David Pilgrim (Cynthia), and James Pilgrim all of Patterson, NJ, and Jason Pilgrim (Dollie) of Kings of Prussia, PA, sisters Albertina White (Norman) of Asheville, Brenda Mason (Rick) of Atlanta, GA, and Sharon Pilgrim of Durham, NC, many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

A Funeral Service to honor the life of Mr. Robert Pilgrim will be held on Saturday April 8, 2023, at Worldwide Tabernacle Baptist Church (85 Choctaw St.), at 3pm. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Viewing will be held at Avery's Memorial Chapel on Friday April 7, 2023, from 12pm until 7pm. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page
