On Sunday January 10, 2021, Robbie Mae Thomas of Asheville was called home at the age of 92.
Robbie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She worked as a Community Outreach Worker in many community centers in the city. She retired as a secretary at Pisgah Legal Services. Robbie was known as a mother to many because of her work in the community. She loved to help people anyway she could. She loved to bake, she loved cats, and was a sharp dresser.
Ms. Robbie Mae Thomas is preceded in death by her father Robert, mother Gladys, three sisters and one brother.
She is survived by son Phillip Beck of Asheville, granddaughter Chanel (Robert) Gilliam of Hendersonville, three great-grandchildren, nine nieces and nephews, six great-nieces and nephews, and many more family members and friends.
Ms. Robbie Mae Thomas will be laid to rest during a private family service.
