Ralph Lewis Hunsucker

Ralph Lewis Hunsucker was born on February 23, 1963 to Nellie Anne Horton in Asheville. He was later adopted by Mr. Hugh Bryan Hunsucker when he was a toddler. Lewis was a DJ with WBMU radio. He earned his GED shortly after the birth of his first son, and later worked on a degree from Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College. He had 4 children from his first marriage, and helped raise 2 other children from his second marriage. While raising his children, he also was a heavy duty machine operator who was regularly seen laboring at many construction sites. For the last 8 years, Lewis worked at McDonald’s on Smokey Park Highway. He was a very intelligent, caring, and wonderful person who loved doing landscaping around his home, cooking, and watching sports and movies. Oft times he would play dominoes and watch Jeopardy with wife Alesia. He also enjoyed music.

Left to cherish his memory is Alesia his wife of almost 16 years, mother Nellie Ann Hunsucker, daughters Arielle and Shanice Jones, Angelica Marie Hunsucker, and Katherine Elana Pressley, sons Carroll Lewis Hunsucker, and Nash Elledge, sister Tina Marie Martin, brother Gregg Hunsucker, several grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Ralph Lewis Hunsucker's life will be celebrated on Friday May 29th at 1pm at 19 Hilltop Loop Lane, Candler, NC 28715
