Phyllis Ann Jeter

Phyllis Ann Jeter came into this world July 25, 1962, the first child of the late Herbert H. and Georgia Mae Jeter. She was a life-long resident of Asheville, NC. On November 13, 2020, GOD called his angel home with her family surrounding her.

Phyllis was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Anyone that knew her knew she had a heart of gold and cared deeply about people. She would selflessly give you the shirt off her back, if you needed it. She also enjoyed her music.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Helen Gathers, and her paternal grandparents Wallace and Annie Mae Jeter.

Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory, her only son William “Jr.” Jeter, who is her world, three beautiful grandchildren Javon, Lasiah and Gabrielle Jeter, three sisters Pamela Jeter, Karen Lee (Frederick) and Terrie Jeter, one brother Christopher Jeter, stepmother Dorothy Jeter, two aunts Mary Briscoe and Martha Edgerton, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Ms. Jeter will be laid to rest during a private service.
