Neil Sherrod Robinson, Sr., 51, transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. The son of James Robinson, Jr., and Linda Williams Robinson, he was born in Macon, GA on July 7, 1972. 

Neil attended Southwest High School in Macon GA, where he graduated in 1990. He later completed Culinary School on June 23, 1997, beginning his career as a chef. He married Tangela Gunter on October 24,1998, and they relocated to North Carolina the following year beginning their life together.

Other than his parents, left to cherish his memory are his children Kailyn Elyse and Neil Sherrod, Jr., brothers James Robinson, III (Stacey), and Jeffery Robinson, sister Taura Middlebrooks (Randy), and devoted friend Penny Banks.

A Funeral Service to honor the life of Neil Robinson will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Lutheridge Conference Center (2511 Hendersonville Rd), at 4pm. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Viewing will be held at Avery's Memorial Chapel on Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 2pm to 6pm.
