On December 27, 2023, Najeah Priest Porter entered into his eternal life at the age of 19 in Asheville, NC.
Najeah attended Asheville City Schools. He was a natural athlete and loved all sports but was very passionate about football, and was a loyal Seattle Seahawks fan. He had a playful spirit and loved to joke around and have fun.
Najeah showed love differently, and you knew if he loved you. He had a way of loving people which caused them to gravitate towards him. He loved his mom and dad, all of his siblings, his nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties and uncles. He had a special friend whom he loved dearly, and he loved her children as well.
Najeah Priest Porter (Na Capone) was born on April 4, 2004, in Asheville to Tangela and Franklin Porter.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Valeria Harper and his paternal grandmother Shirley Porter.
Left to celebrate and cherish his memories are Parents: Tangela Harper-Porter and Franklin Porter, Siblings: Chenise M. Porter, Sequoia Harper, Sevone Porter, Okoye Porter, Kelman Simpson, Tyquise Boyd, Colby Jones, Zyrque Smith, Trenton Porter, Vallen Porter, Amari Porter, Jamil Woods, Jania Porter, Kimi Timbers, of Texas, Teonne Porter, Tyreone Porter, Tayveon Porter, and Brandaze' Allen all of Charlotte, NC. He also leaves behind 20 nieces and nephews, and a host of aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Funeral Service to honor the life of Najeah will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Nazareth First Missionary Baptist Church (146 Pine St.) at 12pm. He will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral. Viewing will be held at Avery's Memorial Chapel on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 1pm - 7pm. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
