Mary Anne Jackson, 82, died on November 30, 2020 after an extended illness. She was born on November 3, 1938 in Burnsville, NC the daughter of Theodore and Sarah Jackson.
She is a graduate of Allen High School and worked as a cook for Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community for over 20 Years before retiring.
Mary loved God and gave her life to Christ at an early age. For many years she played the piano for several churches. She lived a life dedicated to helping others when and where she could. She believed and practiced the Word of God and honored her parents.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers John Vance Jackson (Johniece) and James Perry Jackson (Melba).
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Marguerite Melendez, grandchildren Mell Andree Ailes II, Brandon Pickens, Brian Pickens, and Louis Pickens, five great-grandchildren, sister Barbara Jackson-Jones, and many other relatives and friends.
A Graveside Service honoring the life of Mrs. Mary Anne Jackson will be held on Tuesday, December 8th at 12:00 pm at Horton Hill Cemetery in Burnsville, NC. Viewing for Mrs. Jackson will be held on Monday December 7th from 11am till 6pm at Avery's Memorial Chapel.
