Margaret Wilson Singleton a lifelong resident of Asheville was born on May 18, 1929 and transitioned on December 5, 2022.
She was a daughter of Cecil Sampson Wilson and Carrie Forney. Both parents proceeded her in death, also her daughter Patricia B. Foster.
She is survived by her daughters Dora Dawkins and Donna Evans (Eddie), 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. Special nieces Debra Workman, Brenda Gernadt and special nephews Rev. Gary Wallace and Gregory Carson and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Singleton was a dedicated employee of Asheville Housing Authority for 13 years as a project manager for Hillcrest and Klondyke apartments.
As a member of Hill Street Baptist Church, she was a choir member, VBS worker, Co Deal of a Meal Director and special coordinator for funeral services.
Mrs. Singleton was a caring and wonderful friend to many. She will be missed by all.
A memorial service to honor her life will be held Monday December 12, 2022, at Hill Street Baptist Church (135 Hill St.), at 12:00pm. The memorial service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
