Mrs. Lula Patterson Feaster, 89, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Laurels of Greentree.
Born on February 22, 1932 in Anderson County, SC to the late J. B Patterson and Mattie Lou Morrison, she retired from the Asheville City School System. Ms. Lula was also a member of Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Feaster, sisters Maggie Alexander and Lillian Patterson, brothers Forest Patterson, JB Paterson, and Nathaniel Patterson.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Brenda Feaster of Atlanta, Ga., Anne Feaster of Asheville, Gerald Feaster, Kent Feaster (Sherry) of Atlanta, Ga., Lynette (Dani) of Columbia, SC, and Donna Feaster of Asheville, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grands, 13 great- great-grands, sister Thelma Donaldson, special daughters Juanita Coxton, Gwen Thrasher, andLouise Bowens, and a host of family and friends.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Lula Patterson Feaster will be held on Saturday, September 18th, at 12pm at Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church located on 100 Carroll Ave. in Asheville. Viewing will be held on Friday, September 17th from 10am - 7pm at Avery's Memorial Chapel located at 542 Hendersonville Road, Asheville, NC. Burial will be held immediately following the service at Violet Hill Cemetery located at 454 Hazel Mill Road in Asheville. The funeral service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Face Book page.
