Lucille Marie Lytle Crump, 74, went home to be with the LORD on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 10:47pm. She was born in Bristol, Virginia on April 19, 1947, but was a lifelong resident of Asheville, NC (Shiloh Community).
Born to the late Wayne Lytle and Elizabeth Jackson Lytle of Swannanoa, NC, she was raised by her extended parents Sterling and Lorena Coone Roberts. Lucille was a graduate of Stephens-Lee High School.
She married her husband the late Linwood Crump (Mayor of Shiloh), on August 28, 1965. Lucille was a devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, Nana of a lot of grandkids and great-grands, as well as an auntie to a lot of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and most importantly she was a true servant of GOD!
Other than her beloved husband, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Edward W. Lytle, Cecil R. Lytle, Wilbert J. Lytle, George H. Lytle, and Lewis L. Lytle, and her brother-in-law, Emerson Crump Jr. (Cathy).
Surviving and lovingly cherished by children, Dejuanda Crump Sibert (Archie) of Fayetteville, GA, Dwain Crump (Angel) of Atlanta, GA, Desmond Crump of Arden, NC, Dione Crump-Wilkins (Hal) of Powder Springs, GA, Da'Ron Crump (Sonya) of Asheville, NC, and Dorenda Crump-Monteiro (Anthony) of Smyrna, GA, brothers Frank Williams (Candy) of Winston Salem, NC, Walter Williams of Roanoke, VA, and Carl Roberts (Jean) of Swannanoa, NC, sisters Latiece Eggleston of Canton, NC, Lisa Allen (Gary) of Asheville, NC, her Sister in Christ, Hazel Young, sister-in-laws Annie Mae Lytle-Young, Priscilla Lytle, Mary Lytle Napper and brother-in-law Leon (Tony) Crump of South Carolina.
Lucille was an important part of her community and church family. She was like a mother to everyone in the community and will be missed by all. We her family thank you for your condolences, prayers, and love! We would also like to send a special thanks to Country Gardens and Southern Grace for the loving care of our dear sweet Mother.
A private family funeral service will be held to honor the life of Mrs. Lucille Marie Lytle Crump. She will be buried at Sunset Cemetery, 1138 Sweeten Creek Road, on Saturday, October 2nd at 2:45pm and the public is invited to attend. Viewing will be held on Friday October 1st at Avery's Memorial Chapel, from 12pm until 7pm. The funeral will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Face Book page.
