Lindsey Edward Wynn, 76, of Brevard, went to be with the Lord Nov. 13, 2021, at home while surrounded by family.

Born in Transylvania County on September 19, 1945, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Wynn and Willie Stokes.

He was a nurse and a machine operator.

The best job he had and loved was teaching about the Lord, which he did until his last breath.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Wynn, and two sisters, Geneva Lynch and Ethel Wynn.

He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife of 55 years, Theresa Wynn, three daughters, Hattie Townsend (Kenny), Yolanda Webb (Danny), and Phratasia Macon; seven grandchildren, Alexandria Wynn, Ursula Wynn, Portia Jackson, Marquisey Town-send, Zachary Wynn, Shaikee Macon and NyJeya Macon; five great-grandchildren, Niema Collington, Myrikal Collington, L´Tien Colling-ton, Azariah Jackson and ZáKerian Hollifield; three sisters survive him, Betty Watson, Pauline Wynn and Hazel Wynn; one brother, Steven Wynn; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Mr. Wynn will be held at 11am Monday, Nov. 22, at Bethel "A" Baptist Church located at 290 Oakdale Street in Brevard, NC. The memorial service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
