Lillie Yasheika Howard

Lillie Yasheika Howard began her journey of Life on November 24, 1975, in Asheville NC. She was the oldest born to the late Julia Howard Darity.

Lillie began fighting challenges since the age of 15 years old. She became sick and started dialysis at that time. She was on dialysis for almost 32 years. Sheika or SheShe as many people called her, loved to joy ride, eat, sleep and spend time with family and friends. She would always put a smile on somebody’s face regardless of the situation. Sheika overcame so many obstacles during her life here on earth. She became everybody’s hero, Survivor and Warrior.

Left to cherish her memory is her father Eddie (Reshell) Darity, her soulmate Quan Plummer, sisters Shekeala (David) Cox, Makala McFee, brothers Antonio (Christina) Darity, Marc Lynch, Shyron (Nolan) Williams, nephew Keavon Carson, nieces Julia (aka Teddy) Darity and Kayla Harrison, Cousin CJ Howard and a host of other brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service to celebrate Ms. Lillie will be held on Friday January 13, 2023, at 2PM at Worldwide Missionary Baptist Tabernacle (85 Choctaw St. Asheville, NC 28801).
