Leonard was married to his loving, devoted wife Rosemary for 43 years. To this union they were blessed with 3 sons Leonard Jr., Zachary and Seth.
After graduating from Delaware State, he worked for 30 years at ABF Trucking Company as a manager before retiring.
Leonard loved his family, playing tennis, and going to football and basketball games. He was a wonderful supportive husband and father who looked forward to going to the beach with Patty and Jerome Davis, and enjoyed conversations with his sister-in-law Ike. He spent time talking to Rosemary about her day while she cooked dinner, and this is one of the things she will miss the most. He was also a longtime and very proud member of the illustrious Qmega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
In addition to his parents Leonard was preceded in death by his sons, Leonard Jr., and Zachary, brother Anthony Jones, and sister Marsha F. Jones-Cooper.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Rosemary, son Seth Jones, brothers Michael Jones (Betty), and Ronald Jones (Juanita), uncle Booker T. Jones and wife, sister-in-law Doris Jones of Spartanburg SC, brother-in-law Lonnie Cooper of San Antonio, Texas, grandsons Cameron, Josiah, and favorite grandson Jabril, and many other relatives, friends, and fraternity brothers.
