Mrs. Leona R. Salmon, 95, of Beckley, West Virginia passed away on June 9,2022 from natural causes. Leona was born June 25, 1926 in Raleigh County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James McClanahan and Maggie Page.

Leona was a dedicated wife and worked hard in her church at St Matthew AME of Beckley, WV. Bo enjoyed hunting with her husband and was a Seamstress for many years. 

Leona is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Salmon, sister, Charlotte McClanahan both of Beckley, brother Kenneth McClanahan and James McClanahan Jr. and daughter Juanita McClanahan.

Leona is survived by her daughter, Delores McClanahan of Hendersonville, NC, Brother Herad (George) and Sister Alice Collins, 3 grandchildren who she treated as her own and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Leona R. Salmon. Will be held on Thursday, June 16th at 12pm at Worldwide Baptist Church located 85 Choctaw in Asheville.
