Latasha McDowell

Latasha McDowell gained her wings on Sunday July 27, 2023. She was born on April 20, 1979. She was the daughter of George E. McDowell Sr. and Priscilla James McDowell. She was preceded in death by her brother Larry Lynn Clayton.

Latasha was an example of how one struggles with unfortunate health and continues to live life as an honest person. She was a member of Hill Street Baptist Church and she successfully completed two years of college and was briefly employed three separate times until medical conditions reduced her ability to work. Social media allowed Latasha to make new connections with continued friendships, and she lived a warm life full of joy. Latasha was an adorable person to meet and enjoyed positivity in all communications. She is finally at rest.

Latasha was a loving daughter, sister, and an amazing friend. Left behind to cherish her memory are her parents. Her siblings Anthony Clayton, Isaac Lero Clayton, Carla Clayton, George E. McDowell Jr., and Nathaniel McDowell and aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

A Graveside Service to honor the life of Ms. Latasha McDowell will be held on Friday August 4, 2023, at Violet Hill, at 11am. Viewing will be held on Thursday August 3rd, 2023, from 12pm till 7pm, at Avery's Memorial Chapel.
