Keith Mosely, Jr. Obituary

Keith Anthony Mosely, Jr. (aka “Deuce”) entered this life December 12, 2000. He was affectionately given the name DEUCE after his late legend of a Father Keith Anthony Mosely, Sr. (aka “Keddie”).

From head-to-toe, Deuce was FLY! He was known for dressing nice, his athletic skills, being a beast on the field, and was an NFL Prospect. With his big charming contagious laugh and smile, he was such a good-hearted person who would help anyone in need. He was the best baby brother and best uncle that anyone can have. When he was little, he loved to dance. Deuce attended Asheville High School, where making timely tackles on the football field was no problem. He was the second leading tackler of ALL TIME. After Asheville High School, it was time to tackle college. He was a full-time student at Barton College where he was on track to graduate in May 2023. He was planning on fulfilling his dream of being a walk on with the Carolina Panthers. Deuce earned numerous trophies, and was chosen to participate in the Blue and Gray All American Football League, where he made the very first tackle of the game.

Keith was the apple of his family’s eye, and could always be seen helping his nephews Quevo,  Kendrick Jr., Shemaji, and you would never see him without Caleb. He was a protective  brother, uncle, and son who always watched out for his family. He endured and overcame many obstacles in life such as the passing of his two grandmothers, and the passing of his father Keith Mosely, Sr., which obviously hit him the hardest.

When he met the love of his life Shawntele Smart, their relationship reminded you of the one shared by his parents Keddie and Teresa. She was the collard greens to his corn bread, and they dreamed of spending their life together and raising a family. He also was a real mama’s boy! Deuce would walk by you smelling like a cologne store on his way to see his mom. She meant the world to him and he meant the world to her. All he wanted to do was to make his mom happy.

Other than his legendary Father Keddie and grandmothers, Deuce was predeceased by Grandfather Robert Clyde "Skeet" Mosely, Sr., and Nettie and Howell Bishop.

His precious one of kind life got cut short on Sunday May 29, 2022.  Those left to forever cherish his memory are his mother Teresa Mosely, siblings Karah Anderson, Kenneth Robbs Jr., Kendrick Robbs, Sr. (Angel), Teceisha Robbs, Kendric Justice, Dominque Baird, Loius Baird, Kendra Robbs (Josh), Kendraya Robbs (Justin), and Chris Nelson, Paternal Grandmother Suetta Mosely, Maternal Grandparents Pastor William and Roselyn Robertson, Aunts Antonette “Tonya” Cunningham, Diane Whiteside, Faith Robertson, Shemaiyah Robertson, Joanne Harper, Renae Baird, Burdine Smith, Maurcy Holloway, and Loreina Mason, Uncles Robert “Junnie” Clyde Jr., Micheal Baird, Paul Howell, Kenneth Robbs Sr., Terry Eddings, Anthony Baird, and Johnny Whitmire, and an entire crew of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends whom he loved dearly. Deuce was a wonderful young man that was full of life, and he will greatly missed!
