Jonathan Mills

Jonathan Mills of Asheville, NC, left his earthly home on Thursday, March 23, 2023. He was the son of the late Robert Lee Mills and the late Gladys Porter Mills. Jonathan was a boxer and also did janitorial work in the Asheville City School District for most of his adult life. He enjoyed working out, staying active, and he loved music. His favorite girl group was Cherish, and he absolutely loved their beauty.

Other than his father and mother, he was also preceded in death by his sister Kim Mills-Morgan. 

 

Left to Cherish his memory are his daughters Sherika Lenoir and Ataurus Lenoir, son Jonathan Mills, sister Vicky Mills, brothers Reginald Andre Mills (Alisha), Stephon Mills, Ricky Mills, Tony Mills and Kelvin Mills, grandchildren Arayah, Aston, Tania, Taylen and Jaiden, four aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A Funeral Service to honor the life of Mr. Jonathan Mills will be held on Saturday April 1, 2023, at Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church (100 Caroll Ave.), at 11am. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Viewing will be held on Friday March 31, 2023, from 12pm till 7pm at Avery's Memorial Chapel. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
