Jonathan Austin Glover was the third child born to Titus and Laverne Glover on August 7, 1974, in Asheville, NC. He departed this life on October 30, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.
Jonathan was a 1993 graduate of Carolina Day School and attended Catawba College. He was well known in the community and served on several boards including the Board of NC Arboretum Board of Director, Chairman of Housing Authority, Chairman of Citizen-Times Editorial Board, and participated in US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program.
Those who knew Jonathan was aware of his passion for soccer and how he enjoyed traveling to play in competitions. He was a member of the United States Soccer Federation as a coach and referee.
Jonathan had a spirit of strength throughout his life, a character of goodness and a joy to be around. He was a friend to many, and anyone who was fortunate enough to cross paths with him was truly blessed.
Surviving are his mother Laverne Glover, brother Titus Glover Jr., sister Diana Glover and daughter Bella Glover all of Asheville, two nephews August and Logan, a niece Amelia, and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Titus Glover Sr, sister Kesha Young-Glover, and grandparents Benjamin and Gertrude Glover.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Jonathan will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church (56 Walton Street), at 2:30 pm.
