Joanna Paige Holzberger

JoAnna Paige Holzberger — lovingly called Momma by her children and Momma J by her stepchildren — was a lifelong resident of North Carolina.

Known for her boundless love, creativity, and kindness, JoAnna inspired everyone around her with her strength and warmth. Her deep love for animals reflected her gentle, compassionate heart.

For 25 years, she shared her life with Brian Byrd — a love so deep it transcended time itself. Soulmates in every sense of the word, they passed just one day apart, a testament to the unbreakable bond they shared.

JoAnna and her husband, Andrew Holzberger, remained the closest of friends, sharing lasting love and respect through the years. Alongside her lifelong partner, Brian Byrd, and his wife, Amy, they created a rare and beautiful example of family built on openness, laughter, and unity.

She is survived by her children — Adrian Keener, Darrah Holzberger, and Kaitlyn Holzberger — and stepchildren — Brandon Speer, Brandy Byrd, Wendy Byrd, and Sydney Byrd. JoAnna was a proud Mamaw to eight grandchildren, the beloved daughter of Wanda Keener, and sister to several siblings she adored deeply.

JoAnna’s love was her greatest gift — fierce, tender, and everlasting. She filled every life with warmth and kindness. JoAnna and Brian now rest together, their souls reunited beyond this world, just as they were always meant to be.

JoAnna was laid to rest during a private family memorial.
