Jhakar Horace Davis, 18 passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021. He was born in Asheville, NC on April 3, 2003, to Debbie D. Shivers and Horace M. Davis III. He was proceeded in death by his grandfather Tony L. Smith, and Great-Grandmothers Hattie Smith, and Mary T. Shivers.
Jhakar, affectionately known as "Church," attended Asheville High School and T.C. Robinson High School where he was known for his talent on the football field. He enjoyed spending time with his family, telling jokes, and he had a wonderful sense of humor. Church was adored by his younger brothers and sister.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother Debbie Shivers, and father Horace Davis, siblings NyQuah, Cassius, Acacia and Horace IIII, uncles Clarence Shivers, Tony Shivers, Jonathan Farmer, Heath and Davion Bristol, aunt Sharon Smith, maternal grandparents Sharon and Bernard McDowell, great grandparents Clarence and Marshe Morgan, paternal grandparents Horace Jr. and Darlene Davis, and many other family members and friends.
Viewing for Jhakar Horace "Church" Davis will be held on Friday, July 23rd from 12pm - 7pm at Worldwide Missionary Baptist Church located at 85 Choctaw. He will be laid to rest during a private family service. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's FB page at 2pm today.
