James Burgin, Jr.

James Burgin, Jr. age 74, departed this life peacefully on Saturday, May 12, 2018.  A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Carrie Mae and James Burgin, Sr.

James was employed with Youngs & Stroupe Roofing Company for 40 Years. He loved to go fishing but more than anything he loved his wife of 46 years, Joyce. Not only did he love his wife, he also loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Burgin, sons; James III, Eric (Angel), Derrick, Dran, Kenny and Cedeno; daughters; Nancina, Sharon (David) and Janice (Bryant), 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren that he adored. James will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Mr. Burgin's funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, May 18, 2018 at Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church, 100 Carroll Ave. Asheville, NC.
