Jameireon Caiden Franks, affectionately known by many as "Jamz" or "Chop," was born on May 29, 2009, to Jaleesa Franks and Dominique Eddings. On November 5,2025, our beloved Jamz gained his heavenly wings, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and light that will forever live in the hearts of all who knew him.
Jamz was a loving young man whose laugh was contagious and whose smile could brighten even the darkest day. From a young age, his passion for music was evident—his first love was the drums, and he could often be found keeping the beat with joy and energy that inspired everyone around him. In addition to his musical talents, Jamz also excelled in football and basketball, always giving his all and showing true dedication to his teams and friends.
He was proud of his time working at Bojangles, where his work ethic and positive attitude made a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike.
Jamz will be deeply missed by his mother Jaleesa Franks, his father Dominique Eddings (Shannon), his maternal grandmother Phala Franks, his paternal grandparents Derrick Eddings (Angie Conley) and Princess Gaines (Evette Vance), siblings DaNaysia Franks, Heiress Jones, Noriyah Morgan, Carter Franks, DaMarion Simpson-Eddings, Makia Eddings, and Annalaysia Eddings.
He also leaves behind a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
Jamz touched countless lives in his short time here on Earth. His laughter, love for music, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day.”
