Delivering bad news is rarely easy to do.
On Friday December 23, 2022 my husband Guffen Renard Hearst Jr. Lost a heavy war with depression. He lost a fight that he felt was beyond repair. He worked hard to overcome trauma that was beyond his control. These things, people and events were too unbearable to face and conquer, especially while feeling so low of oneself.
One thing about Guffen, he always aimed to put a smile on the faces around him, despite his circumstances. He was the most hard working, loving and corniest guy there was to know.
He leaves behind his wife and high school sweetheart, Nastassia S. Hearst Sr., his five living children Nyjah 13, Josiah 10, Jasher 8, Nijome’ 4, Nastassia Jr., 1, his parents, siblings and many friends.
In the after life of this realm, he greets his grandmother “Mama”, Gertha Hearst aka “Gangsta” whom he loved and cherished greatly and our youngest son Jashan “Samson” Hearst, who he hand delivered, by himself on November 23, 2019. Guffen missed Samson so much, it hurt his soul.
Guffen’s charismatic love will not be forgotten. He had a message that he was not able to get out, that will be expressed in his honor.
There will be a public viewing for Guffen Friday January 6, 2023. It will be an all-day event/ceremony at Avery’s Memorial Chapel (542 Hendersonville Rd.)
If you have it in your heart to contribute to the cost of his ceremony and more, please feel free to send monies to Cash app:
