Gary Rudolph Lindsey

Gary Lindsey of 21 Georgia Hill Drive in Asheville, entered into enteral rest on Monday March 13, 2023. He was the son of the late Mary Ware Lindsey, and the late Frank Roy Lindsey.

Gary was a jack of all trades who held numerous jobs, and he truly exceled at every one of them. His favorite phrase, "Shut yo face," was often heard coming from him, and always produced smiles and laughs each time it was heard. Most of all, he was a man who truly loved his family and friends. 

​Left to fondly cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years, Mrs. Gail Davis Lindsey, son Deshawn Wright, daughters Takeia and Tyadaisha Davis both of Asheville, brothers Michael Lowman of Asheville and Eric of Baltimore, MD, sisters Rochelle Lindsey of Asheville, Sharon Waldon of Bel Air, MD, and Adrienne Kilgore (Wilfred), of Simpsonville, SC, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

A Funeral Service to honor the life of Mr. Lindsey will be held on Saturday March 18, 2023, at Worldwide Tabernacle Baptist Church (85 Choctaw St.), at 3pm. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Viewing will be held from 10am to 7pm Friday March 17, 2023, at Avery's Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
