Frederic Duane Pasley

Mr. Frederic Duane Pasley was born in Miami, FL on February 13, 1978 to his devoted Parents Lawrence and Mary Peterson. Duane spent the early years of his childhood in Miami, FL where he was given the nickname “G-Man.” He then spent his formative years in Asheville, NC where he attended Aycock, Hall Fletcher Elementary, Asheville Middle and Asheville High School.

Fred (as affectionately known) was a gentle giant, very reserved, and one who truly loved his Mom.  Family was everything to him, and he loved them hard! There was nothing that Fred wouldn’t do for anyone. He was very generous and protective, a great Son, Father, Brother, Cousin, Role Model, Encourager, Mentor and Friend. He loved to dress and his style was unmatched. He was so many things to so many people. To know him was to love him.

God sent an angel on Monday Oct 5, 2020 to call the roll and Fred D. Pasley answered the call. He made the exit to the end of his journey, and quietly left to take his eternal rest. Preceding him in death was his Maternal Grandmother Ruth McKnight, Grandfather Henry McFadden, and Paternal Grandmother Elizabeth Peterson, Uncles Keithie, Micheal and Donell McKnight, Brother Antone Peterson, Great-Aunt Thelma Pasley, Cousins Ramona and Camilla Miller, and Best Friend Anthony “TC” Carter.

He leaves to cherish his memory his Parents, Daughters Fredericka(Pooh) and Cherish(Tank) Pasley, Sons Famous(Riq), Kobe, King(Long Head), Karter(Genius) and Kamdyn(Booga) Pasley, Grandmother Clementine McFadden (Hemingway, SC), Siblings Angelina Cobb (Miami), LaReece(Niko) Edmonds (Columbia, SC), and Lawrence Peterson Jr.( Asheville, NC), Aunts Barbara Miller, Letatha, Terry, Renea(Rod) McKnight (Miami FL), LaTonya McKnight (Asheville, NC), Carrie Darlene McFadden (New York, NY) Doreen McFadden, Vanetta(Frankie), Cheryl (TJ), and Lisa (Hemingway, SC), Uncles James(Andre) Pasley, Kenneth McKnight (Miami FL), Henry Jr., Willie, James(Kendra) McFadden (Hemingway, SC), and Ross (Annie) Peterson (Asheville NC), Nephew Loaghan Cobb, and a HOST of cousins, other relatives, and many many friends.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Mr. Frederic Pasley will be held on Saturday October 17, at 1pm at the Biltmore Church - East Campus, located on 801 Fairview Rd in Asheville. Viewing will be held at Avery's Memorial Chapel on Friday October 16, from 12pm - 7pm. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
