Fannie Mae Williams 91, transitioned to her heavenly home on Friday December 9, 2022. A lifelong resident of Spartanburg, SC, she was born May 28, 1931 to the late Martin and Mae Lilly Alexander Miller. She was preceded in death by her sister, the late Vera Gray of Asheville. Left to cherish her memories are her nieces: Beatrice (Harmon) Hudson, Annette G McClure and Valerie Sloan all of Asheville, NC and Tonya Parker of Texas.
Nephew: Walter (Joann) Gray of Forest City, NC.
Cousins: Johnny (Valerie) McMorris, Elijah (Sandra) Moore, and Atla and Shirley Moore all of Asheville, a host of great nieces and nephews
Fannie loved spending time with her family. She celebrated her birthday every year with a cookout. She had a passion for cooking and baking cakes. She also had a huge love for animals, especially her cats named Skitter and Muffin. Fannie will be remembered for her sweet spirit and her kind and loving ways she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A funeral to honor her life will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at J. W. Woodward Funeral Home (594 Howard St. Spartanburg, SC 29303) at 1:00PM. She will lie in state from 12:30pm until the beginning of the service. Burial will be held at Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church (1552 Switzer Green Pond Rd. Woodruff, SC).
