Ernest Frederick Porter Jr., 59 of Asheville, NC formally from Ocean Side California transitioned to his Heavenly home March 13, 2021 at Memorial Mission Hospital. Ernie was born March 1, 1962 to Ernest Frederick Porter Sr., and Dorothy Jean McCoy Porter.

Ernie received his education in California Public Schools. He had been employed with K-Mart and Earth Fair in Asheville.

He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alphonso and Rosebud McCoy, paternal grandparents Curtis and Nelly Porter.

In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memories is his son Justin Tucker of Ocean Side California, brothers Michael Porter of Asheville, Gregory Porter of Ocean Side California, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and special friend Joni Kent.

A Memorial Service honoring the life of Mr. Ernest Frederick Porter, Jr. will be announced a later date.
