Eric Ray, age 58, of Asheville entered into eternal rest on Sunday May 16, 2021. A native of Asheville, he was the son of the late James Ray and Betty Porter Ray.
Eric attended and graduated Asheville High School, and was a very enthusiastic drummer for the Hillcrest Enrichment Program, which he greatly enjoyed. He was a member of Ray of Hope Church with Pastor Inez Ray.
He was also preceded in death by brothers Jerome Ray and Alvin Ray, sister Jennifer Ray, and sister-in-law Paula Ray.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Courtney Linda Ray Hall (Ivan), siblings Cynthia Carter (Brian), Portia Edgerton (Marvin), Anthony Ray
Kecia Ray, Mickey Ray, Corey Ray (Karen) and Stacia Sellers (Rod), sister-in-law Renee Ray, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many many friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Eric Ray will be held on Saturday May 22nd at 11am, at The Church of God located at 107 State St. Viewing will be held Friday May 21st from 12pm - 7pm at Avery's Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's FB page.
