As gentle as the clouds Roll over the sky, God’s Angel came and beckoned Elizabeth Harrison Galloway to Heavens Home.
Elizabeth Harrison Galloway, daughter of the late Effort and Joyce Ann Harrison born 03-28-1940 in Asheville, NC and ended this journey of Life on Sunday June 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Elizabeth received her education in Asheville, NC and was a graduate of Stephens Lee High School Class of 1959.
After completing her High School education, she was employed by C.T.S Industries followed by Ball In Con until their closure. She later sought employment with Hubbell distribution where she remained until her retirement in 2009.
In 1965 Elizabeth met and Married Eugene Galloway Jr. On Jan 11, 2025, they celebrated 60 Blissfully years of marriage.
Elizabeth was a devoted and faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. John H. Grant Sr. She served faithfully on the usher and Deaconess Board until her health failed.
After her retirement, her time was devoted to the Love of her Life, her four Grandchildren and five great grandchildren where she was very seldom seen without one of them in her Prescence or in the kitchen baking one of her favorite cakes and preparing her favorite meal for the family.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her four brothers; Willie, Boyd, Ernest and Charles Harrison. Sister; Minnie Pearl Moore. Two special Nephews; Mack Harrison Moore and Nakamura Harrison. One Great niece; Michelle McLean and a cousin; Rosa Mae Jones.
Elizabeth’s absence will be greatly missed by her devoted husband Eugene Edward Galloway Jr, Son Victor Galloway Sr(Rosalyn) of Raleigh North Carolina, Cheryl Galloway Jones (Terrell) of Savannah, Ga, Charlene Galloway-Pea(Nance) of Flatrock, NC, 4 grandchildren, 5 greatgrandchildren, one sister- in-law Ruth Anne Harris of Philadelphia, PA, one Brother –in-law Johnson ‘Toby’ Galloway, of Asheville of NC. One devoted classmate, Doris Bolton and a Lifelong friend Brenda Craig. A special God daughter Sonya Worthy-Orko of Lauren Maryland. A host of nieces, nephews, church members, community family and friends of the North & South sides of Asheville N.C.

A Funeral Service to honor the life of Elizabeth will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (47 Eagle St.), at 1pm. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery immediately following the funeral. Viewing will be held at Avery's Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 12pm-7pm. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
