Mrs. Dorothea Gilliam Hermany a longtime resident of Asheville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
A Funeral Service to honor the life of "Ms. Dot" will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Browns Temple CME Church (32 Phifer St.), at 10am. She will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will immediately follow the funeral at Sunset Cemetary. Viewing will be held Tuesday October 31, 2023, from 5pm to 7pm at Avery's Memorial Chapel. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
