Dianne Sullivan Wilson was born on August 29, 1953 to the late Effie Sullivan, and she transitioned peacefully on September 23, 2021.
A native of Asheville, Dianne graduated from Asheville High School and matriculated from Shaw University. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Her professional career included many years with Asheville City Schools and assisting those with mental health issues through varies agencies. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, she was an avid shopper and loved music. Dianne will always be remembered for her infectious laugh, warm smile and classy style. She was a ray of light to those who loved and knew her.
Left to cherish Dianne’s memory is her loving husband Zenus Wilson, her son Demond (ZaKiya) of Asheville, her daughters Laren of Asheville, Jackie (Joey) of Burnsville, Andie of Charlotte, and Jaymi of Charlotte, her grandchildren Zay, Marquis, Sidnei, Darrel, Joseph, Jenna and Sullivan, and her one great grandson Kacee.
A Memorial Service to honor the life of Mrs. Dianne Sullivan Wilson will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 12pm at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church located at 47 Eagle Street in Asheville. The memorial service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Face Book page. The family will be receiving friends at 3 Parker Road in Asheville.
