Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29
On Thursday, February 3, 2022, Deandre transitioned peacefully in his sleep and went to his heavenly home. We the family find solace that he is no longer suffering and is now another one of our angels. Deandre was born January 26, 1985, in Fairbanks, Alaska to Mrs. Martha McClain and Charley McClain, Jr.
He received his education in the Asheville City School District. He was last employed by Montreat College in Black Mountain, NC. Deandre confessed his hope in Christ and joined Harvest Time Assembly of God in Asheville under the leadership of the late Pastor Darrell McClaren. Deandre was so much more than his struggles. He loved to cook, watch good movies, spend time with family, dance, and just being the life of the party. He never knew a stranger and would always make everyone feel welcome. He would do anything to bring a smile to your face and always enjoyed a good dare. Anyone who truly knew him, knew Andre had a big heart. He would give you the shirt off his back. He could make you laugh even when you were mad at him. He loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that Deandre is now at peace surrounded by the ancestors and God’s angels. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. Deandre’s memories will be forever cherished by his loving and devoted mom Mrs. Martha McClain.
Deandre’s memories will be forever cherished by his loving and devoted mom Mrs. Martha McClain of Asheville, NC; a loving dad Robert Jones of Asheville; his father Charley McClain (Willette) of Fairbanks, Alaska; the love of his life Kelli Bailey of Asheville, NC; three loving siblings Quentin Jones (Samantha), Sareese “Reecy” Jones, Brandon Pelt of Asheville, NC. two nieces and one nephew whom he absolutely adored, Karson, Lyrica, and Jewellz Jones. Deandre was predeceased by his maternal grandparents; Mr. Tannie Dixon, Sr and Mrs. Bertha Dixon; his paternal grandparents; Mrs. Rosie Mae Jones; and Mr. Charlie McClain, Sr and Mrs. Bertha McClain; maternal great grandparents Mr. Richard Chandler and Mrs. Maggie Chandler. He also leaves an abundance of other relatives, uncles, cousins, and friends.
MEMORIES…...Death leaves heartache no one can heal; memories are treasures no one can steal. Some may forget you now that you are gone, but we will remember no matter how long. You will always stay loved and remembered, in every way. No tears, no verse, can ever say how much we miss you every day. The Family
