Cora L. Jones

Cora L. Jones went home to be with our LORD on Monday, July 15, 2024. She was born February 13, 1942, and was the youngest child of the late Goode Montgomery and the late Marie Montgomery. She was a dedicated member of HB Ferguson Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board, and as the church mother.

Left to cherish memory are her four sons, Ivey "Anthony" Jones, Fredrick Jones, Sr., Christopher Jones (Faye), and Mark Jones (Lacy), grandchildren Fredrick Jr. (I'juana), Satorria, Shamone, Chardonnay, Christopher, LaShawn, and Soran, great-grandchildren Sumyah, Kane, Lenoxx, Kyimoni, La'Kahya, and Khayma, special nieces Vera and Mary, father of her sons Frank Jones, and a host of other nieces, nephews, church members and friends.

A Funeral Service to honor the life of Cora will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2024, at HB Ferguson Missionary Baptist Church (5 Palmer St.), at 12pm. She will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral. Viewing will be held on Tuesday at Avery's Memorial Chapel from 1pm to 7pm. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
