Charles "Tank" Jones

Charles M. "Tank" Jones, Jr., went home to be with our LORD on Tuesday March 26, 2024.

Tank grew up in Asheville and graduated from Asheville High School. He lived a few years in Durham, NC, but spent the majority of his life in Asheville. He was well known by many and known to have a loving heart, a good soul, and would look out for family and close friends. He will be remembered and missed.

Charles was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles M. "Beef" Jones, Sr., and Leola Thomas Jones, three brothers and a sister, David Thomas, Peter Jones, Jimmy Jones, and Marguerite "Abby" Jones.

He leaves behind a daughter, Clarissa Charmaine Jones, four grandchildren, Jayda Nesbitt, Lauryn Nesbitt, Rylee Nesbitt, and Mace Wray-Nesbitt, two sisters, Clarissa Thomas Watson, and Lisa Jones, a very close friend and adopted brother, Kwan Pearson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Tank will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Greater Works Church (25 Forsythe St.), at 12pm. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
