Carlton McCaskill, born on August 19, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York, peacefully entered eternal rest on March 27, 2026. He was the beloved son of the late Charles McCaskill and the late Mary McCaskill.
Carlton was a graduate of Ahoskie High School, Class of 1978. He was a lifelong resident of Bronx, New York, where he built lasting relationships, and was best known for his deep appreciation of the simple joys in life.
He had a profound love for basketball and music, finding a special sense of fulfillment working at Madison Square Garden where he was surrounded by the energy of the game and the rhythm of the city he loved. His time there was more than a job, it reflected who he was and what he enjoyed most.
Other than his parents, he was also proceeded in death by his grandson Noble Iheanacho.
Carlton leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughters Sedequa Speller (Leo), of Newport News, VA, and Tiffany Iheanacho of Asheville, NC, son Devonne Jones, his treasured granddaughter Zara Iheanacho and her father Felix Iheanacho, devoted siblings Charles Anthony McCaskill (Shirlean Ann) of King George, VA, and Gina Marie McCaskill of Odenville, AL, nieces Ingrid Ruffin and Mary McCaskill, godson Cedric Giddings, dear friends Patricia King and Pamela King-Farquharson, and a host of aunts, cousins, and friends.
His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Carlton was laid to rest during a private family memorial.
