Ms. Brenda Joyce Leach Poole departed her worldly home to be with our father and savior Jesus Christ on Saturday April 8th, 2023. She loved her only two sons, Brandon and Yamir, as well as the kind staff at The Oaks at Sweeten Creek. She filled the halls with her trademark laughter and witty sharp humor.  Brenda bought joy to everyone she touched. Her favorite color was burgundy and she loved her trademark meal of fried chicken.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Frances J. Hopkins, Valeria J. Flamer, and Carolyn J. Pratt, and brother Arthur Jemerson, Jr.

Brenda is survived by her two sons Brandon Poole and Yamir Bryant (Doreen), loving sisters Alma J. Wigfall of Waldorf, MD, Susie Jemerson of Suitland, MD, and Linda J. Vincent (Reginald) of Salisbury, NC, extended sisters Sharee Anderson of Upper Marlboro, MD, Jacqueline J. Johnson of Forestville, MD, and Tonya J. Wright (Gerald) of Maryland, and brother Alfonzo Leach (Freida) of North Wilkesboro, NC, extended brothers Michael Anderson of Alabama, Steve McClam of Suitland, MD, and Dennis Jemerson of Washington, DC, and super special and loving niece Angelic J. Bal (Malick) of Charlotte, NC.

A Funeral Service to honor the life of Ms. Brenda Poole will be held Saturday April 15, 2023 at First Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church (146 Pine St.), at 12pm. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Viewing will be held Friday April 14, 2023, from 1pm till 7pm at Avery's Memorial Chapel. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
