Brenda Ann Hall, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Brenda was born on February 25, 1947, in Asheville, N.C., to parents Carrie McClellan and Luther Gaffney. She attended Stephens-Lee High School and was a member of Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church. She worked for many years with Buncombe County Child Development and in her later years, she served as a volunteer with the Foster Grandparent Program.
In June 1964, she married Benjamin P. Hall. She will be remembered as a loving and supportive mother by their children, daughter Sonya Hall Turner and sons Calvin L. Hall (Terri) and Benjamin Phillip Hall. She will be celebrated as a caring sister by Diane McClellan-Davis and Samuel A. McClellan. In addition, she will always be remembered by many friends and family as a devoted, good-natured friend, an excellent cook, avid reader, plant enthusiast (her other babies) and lover of “Cowboy movies,” as she called them.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Carrie McClellan and Luther Gaffney, and brother, Ronnie Lee McClellan.
A memorial celebration of her life will be held at a later date to be announced.
The family would like to thank her many friends both in North Carolina and Maryland, as well as extended family for their kind words, sentiments, condolences, and prayers.
