Ayla Latisha Flythe

On March 27, 1988, Ayla Latisha Flythe was born in Asheville, NC, to her mother Sheila Hicks and her father Henry Flythe. She suddenly departed this life on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Memorial Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC.

Ayla graduated from AB Tech Community College in 2005, earning her General Education Diploma. Ayla earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)certificate and her certification as a Medical Technician. She worked as a CNA at Brightstar and Liberty Corner Enterprise. Ayla enjoyed helping people and worked to put a smile on her residents faces.

Ayla Flythe was preceded in death by her grandmother Bobbie Jean Hicks, and her Uncle Maurice Simmons.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother Sheila Hicks, father Henry Flythe, brother Damarus (Gabrielle) Flythe, Kentrail (Jasmine) Hicks, Travis (Shanice) Hicks, Satable (Kelsy) Diggins, Kevin (Terica) Hicks, Tisheia (Kenneth) Hicks, Jermaine (April) Hicks and her children: Kamarion Flythe, CaSaveyon Rutherford, Kiara Rutherford, Kayliah Rutherford and a host of cousins and nieces and nephews.

Ms. Ayla Flythe went to be with the LORD on Wednesday January 11, 2023. A funeral service to celebrate her will be held at Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church (146 Pine St.) on Friday January 20, 2023, at 12:00PM.
