Anthony (Tony) Jerome Ellison

February 10, 1959 ~ January 26, 2022 (age 62)

Anthony (Tony) Jerome Ellison 62, was born February 10, 1959 in Asheville, N.C. to  Bessie Mae Ellison (deceased), and Lorenzo Roberts (deceased).

Anthony attended William Randolph Elementary, and South French Broad Junior High, after which he moved to Hyattsville, Md. where he lived and worked for many years. 

He was employed by Maryland University in Hyattsville, Md., and the Atlantic Research Corporation in Alexandria Va. before becoming a "Professional Truck Driver OTR/Haul", working out of Maryland and North Carolina Divisions. 
Later, returning to Asheville, Tony developed a passion for cooking which led him to be employed at various restaurants in Asheville, Burlington N.C., Rock Hill S.C. and Laurel Park Hospital in Atlanta Ga. 
Tony was best known by his classmates and his closet friends, as "Uncle Bob". Tony went home to be with the Lord Wednesday January 26, 2022.

Preceding Tony in death is his son Antonio Vance and his sister Francine Carter.

He leaves behind to mourn his memories; (3) children; (1) daughter Antoria Mills, (2) sons; Anthony C. of Asheville, Antonio Stewart of Hyattsville, Md., a host of grandchildren, (3) sisters; Mary Poore (Cecil) deceased of Hyattsville, Md., Martha Curry (Benjamin) deceased of Atlanta Ga., Marjorie Jones (Frank) deceased.  (3) brothers; Robert Ellison (Perk), Eugene Ellison (Angela) both of Asheville, Arthur Ellison of Atlanta, Ga., nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Anthony (Tony) Jerome Ellison will be held Saturday February 5th at Tried Stone Baptist Church located on 100 Carroll Ave., at 12pm. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Face Book page.
