Anthony Marquis Rashad Gregory

In loving memory of our beloved Anthony Marquis Rashad Gregory, who gained his wings on Wednesday, May 15, 2025, at the age of 23. Though his time with us was far too short, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Anthony was a true free spirit, full of life, and deeply connected to nature. He always found peace under the open sky. Whether walking beneath the stars or feeling the grass beneath his feet, he embraced life with open arms and a big heart.

He radiated vibrant energy and boundless kindness, with a smile that could light up any room. Anthony would give his last just to make someone else feel seen and loved. His generosity was effortless, his loyalty unshakeable, and his laughter unforgettable.

He was preceded in death by his big sister, Malaysia Poore, and his father, Olabode Fapetu, whom he held close in his memory.

Anthony leaves behind his loving mother Jombya D. Poore, sisters Naadia Miller, and Asia Gregory, nieces legacy Gregory and Zavaya Jones-Miller, brother and best friend Gabriel love, grandparents Ricardo and Jennifer Poore, Aunt Nakema Poore, Uncle Mark "RJ" Poore, Nevaeh Swann and their unborn child (due 10-19-25), William Gregory and family, and many others cherished family members and friends.

Anthony’s life reminds us to live freely, love deeply, and treasure every moment. Though his light no longer shines here, it lives on in every sunset, breeze, and burst of laughter shared in his memory.

Fly high, Anthony. Reunite with your sister Malaysia, and may your souls soar together in peace and eternal love.

A Funeral Service to honor the life of Anthony will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Worldwide Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church (85 Choctaw St.), at 1pm. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Viewing will be held at Avery's Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 12pm-7pm. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.
