Annie Streeter Obituary

Mrs. Annie K. Streeter, 101, passed away peacefully at home on February 29, 2020. She was born on August 5, 1918 in Asheville, the daughter of Bertha and Charles Gudger.

Mrs. Streeter was a graduate of Allen High School. She worked as a custodian for Asheville City Schools, was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she sang on the Gospel Choir, and also was a part of the Senior Care of First Nazareth Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sons Morris and Wilbur, sisters Corrinne Atlead and Adelaide Gudger, and brother Eugene Gudger.

Those left to cherish her memory is her son Vaughn, sister Elsie Gudger, daughters in law Cornelius Streeter of Charlotte, Williamina Streeter of Asheville, 9 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, a niece Mary Alice Garrett, a host of special friends at Senior Care of Nazareth; Shirley McMahan, Mary Beasley, Mary and Lawrence Peterson, Barbara Richardson and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Annie K. Streeter will be held 1:00pm Saturday, March 7, at First Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the services at Brick Church Cemetery located at 3252 New Leicester Highway.
